:: Bio: Darce Brighthorse

Darce’s extensive background in the science and technologies of the natural healing arts, combined with her ability as a medical intuitive and seer, provide her clients with a deep and unique experience of healing and freedom.

Darce spent her undergraduate years as a student of philosophy, Greek history, Classical Studies, and Jungian Psychology.  At eighteen, she initiated her education in Natural and Wholistic Healing, reading the works of the great naturopaths in the western tradition – Bernard Jensen, Paavo Airola, Hanna Kroeger, Jethro Kloss, and Hanna Budwig, among others.

Her first formal training in Natural Healing took place in l985 at the Tao Healing Arts Institute in Los Angeles, Ca. There, she received training* in Shiatsu Anma and discovered Five Element theory - the core of all Oriental Medicine.

Subsequently, Darce has received training and certification in dozens of physical disciplines, and a wide variety of emotional and energetic healing techniques. She also apprenticed in accupuncture for nearly 2 years with Dr. Joseph Thomas, founder of the Satsun Center. She has practiced Hatha Yoga since her adolescence, and in 1991, she acquired her teacher's credential in the Sivananda Yoga tradition. Darce also holds dear her alliance with the Sufi Healing Order.

She regards her current work as a synthesis and distillation of these many traditions. Additionally, during her years of working with clients, she opened herself fully to her abilities as a seer - or as she prefers to call it - her ability to ‘receive‘.  Several prolonged near-death experiences enhanced these abilities, and prompted her to more fully unite her analytical and technological skills with her native gifts as an intuitive.

Still, Darce considers her most precious asset the great teachers she has been fortunate to study with and to learn from - Dr. Virgil Chrane, founder of Alphabiotics; Sandra Hope Davis, psychic and spiritual teacher; Ruth Cowan, the great reflexologist;  Ann Sophia Marshall, Sufi, master herbalist and Jin Shin Jyitsu teacher; and most certainly, the eminent Laura Wynne, Counselor, Spiritual Light, and Wise Woman who currently resides in Sedona, Arizona.

However, she recognizes her 19-year relationship with Dr. Robert T. Sharp, DC, ND, as having the most profound influence on her own work and practice.

Of her relationship with Robert, Darce says:
"Robert was my friend as well as my mentor; He was an absolute Master - as a healer, a scholar, and a teacher. A walking textbook of knowledge, Robert not only taught me a great deal; more importantly, he demonstrated for me the deepest significance of what it means to be a true naturopath - a servant of nature and of life.”

“From our very first encounter, he encouraged me to acknowledge myself as a healer and a teacher. And although I had been a natural sensitive from an early age, it was Robert who, in his inimitable way, steadily guided me to open myself to my abilities as a seer. But most importantly, through his example, Robert transmitted to me the esoteric art of acting as a neutral yet passionate receiver of the profound intelligence and directing power of the Life Force, which allow one's work to be guided by its unerring Wisdom."

Darce travels extensively throughout the US, teaching classes, workshops, and serving a national clientele. She is currently completing a book on the healing potential of pragmatic social idealism and self-empowered spirituality, as well as the development of an on-line educational institute to assist in our consciously evolving our physical selves, our desires, and our precious imaginations.
